Larger Roof Windows – More Opportunities

Studies have shown that the average person in Britain spends a minimal eight per cent of their time outside on a week day. With technology advancing at such speeds and the temperature during winter evenings dropping, cosy nights in are becoming more popular. It has been reported by Road CC that Brits have admitted spending one hour 37 minutes per day less outside during winter in comparison to summer.

Roof windows that provide a larger glazing area

FAKRO have designed a roof window which provides a larger glazing area, unrestricted views and the handle is within easy reach. The FDY-V Duet proSky roof window is perfect for attic space as it features an impressive height of 255cm. If looking for more than one, it is possible to join these windows together to create horizontal combinations. Furthermore, the Duet proSky windows fit into a standard rafter spacing, thus eliminating the need for any additional costs to modify the roof structure.

The FDY-V is a double sash roof window. The upper sash can be rotated through 160 degrees and is equipped with an energy-efficient, single chamber glazing unit. The lower sash is non-opening and has internal glass laminated to provide increased safety when operating the window. The axis of rotation is situated above the centre of the window which creates an easier access space together delivering more light!

The roof window is equipped with the automatic V40P air inlet that provides an optimum amount of fresh air into the room and ensures a healthy micro-climate in the attic and thermal energy savings.

In addition, the window comes with the approved topSafe system which increases operational safety and burglary resistance. The thermoPro technology ensures improved energy-efficiency performance, greater durability, and excellent tightness and facilitates the installation process.

Double sash windows are suitable for installation in roofs with pitches from 25 degrees to 65 degrees.
