Custom coloured flat roof windows

The brilliant ‘ColourLine type F’ flat roof window from FAKRO boasts all the advantages of a traditional skylight, yet also opens up endless architectural possibilities for its users. But how?

Imagine the ability to paint your skylight like a canvas… FAKRO has made this ambition a reality with ColourLine.

Offering the opportunity to customise the external colour of the frame, you can colour coordinate your windows with even the most abstract of roof designs. And with over 200 colours from the classic RAL palette to choose from, ColourLine can meet the expectations of any demanding customer.

In addition to the customisable element of ColourLine, these units also showcase excellent thermal insulation performances, an innovative design and modern aesthetics. These outstanding features have earned the DEF U6 the prestigious Red Dot Design Award of 2016.

CONTEMPORARY SKYLIGHT DESIGN

FAKRO conceived the impressive ‘F’ range for buildings where pitched roof windows and standard vertical windows aren’t feasible. Meticulously designed with each feature detail taken into consideration, FAKRO paved the way in modern, state-of-the-art skylights – and still does today, with 140 patent applications and counting.

Versatility of Sizing

In order to suit those unusual sized openings, FAKRO offer non-standard options. Flat roof windows can be manufactured in bespoke sizing solutions within the range of 60cm x 60cm and 120cm x 220cm – allowing for easy replacement of existing roof windows.

Highly Energy Efficient

A prevailing benefit of the type F window is that it guarantees outstanding thermal insulation performance. Two glazing options are available to ensure this level of energy efficiency: U6 (triple glazing) and U8 (quadruple glazing) – achieving U-values as low as 0.6!

Structurally, the type F window is also constructed of multi-chamber PVC profiles, which are filled with insulating material. As a result, vital heat is retained during those cooler months.

Abundance of Natural Light

Here at FAKRO we recognise the importance of natural sunlight.

Due to the specially shaped profiles of the type F window, the glazing area can be up to 16% greater than those of competitors.

Therefore, as much light as possible flows into the room; this is proven to improve mental health, regulate sleeping patterns and contribute to building strong bones.

Durable & Robust – Built to Last

Using advanced manufacturing technology, the glazing units are bonded. As a result, the structure is secure and can offer high durability and impeccable aesthetics. Additionally, the external glass (which reflects solar radiation!) is toughened. Whereas the internal glass is anti-burglary – featuring P2A glass.

As a consequence, the window is stable and safe.

Multiple Accessory Options

Due to their carefully designed structure, FAKRO roof windows are compatible with both internal and external accessories to enhance the functionality of the skylight.

External blinds are available to prevent the room from overheating, whereas internal blinds protect the room against intense sunlight, improve interior design and provide privacy.

Aesthetics in Situ

Of course, the type F ColourLine also adds style to the roof’s appearance and improves its character. The ability to personalise the colour, in addition to their innovative design, means both modern terraces and flat roof gardens alike are complemented by the type F. Moreover, with the option to also raise the window with an additional XRD installation base, you can seamlessly integrate your new skylight into almost any flat roof design.

It’s time to introduce flat roof windows with a personality into your project. Contact the FAKRO team for advice today.
