Frequently Asked Questions

What type of glazing should I choose for my roof window?

We offer a range of glazing types to suit your particular requirements.

Roof windows are exposed to all kinds of weather and glazing provides heat insulation, sound insulation and added strength and safety. Standard glazing usually comes with a toughened outer pane, however we recommend using laminated glazing units on all windows above head height.

The inner glass in a laminated pane consists of two layers of ordinary glass with a layer of plastic foil between. If the glass shatters, the shards are retained by the foil.

You can learn more about the glazing types specific to each roof window by using our tool-tips below each product, and of course we're here to help. You can use our chat facility below or call us free from landlines and inclusive of mobile minutes on 0333 600 9090.
