Cookie Policy

What are cookies?

A cookie is a small piece of information sent by an Internet server to be kept on a Internet browser so it can be read back in the future. This is useful for having the browser remember some specific information.

Cookies are used by almost all websites, for various purposes:

  • analysis of visitor’s behaviour (known as ‘analytics’)
  • to personalise web pages and remember visitor’s preferences
  • to manage shopping carts in online shops
  • to track people across websites and deliver behavioural advertising

Our website uses two kinds of cookie files:

Persistent cookies – Google Analytics – we use this to get to know how the site is being used so that we can improve the user experience. User data is all anonymous. These cookies are used to gather information about how visitors navigate our site. We use the information to compile reports and to make the site more user-friendly. The cookies gather information in an anonymous way, regarding the number of site visitors, where visitors have come to the site from and the particular pages they visited.

Session cookies – used a session cookie for site functionality e.g. To remember log-ins and products in a shopping cart. These are absolutely necessary for the proper functioning of the site and we do not recommend blocking them.

We also use Zendesk chat cookies to assist with the information on our website.

Deleting cookies

Most web browsers make it possible to manage or delete cookie files by accessing the browser settings. To find out more about cookies, including how to see what cookies have been set and how to manage and delete them, visit www.allaboutcookies.org.
